Sierra Hathorne

Principal Head teacher

Miss Hathorne is a dynamic educator with six years of experience teaching grades 1 through 5 in multi-grade classrooms. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in History and a minor in Geography, and earned her Master's in Education from Grand Canyon University. She also holds a professionally accredited Adventist certification.

Sierra is passionate about blending technology and movement into her teaching to make learning exciting and effective. She leads summer coding camps, sparking students' interest in technology, and promotes healthy living both in and out of the classroom.

Dedicated to putting students first, Sierra creates a vibrant and supportive learning environment. Outside of school, she enjoys life with her playful pug, Eleanor.

 

 

Wendy Goff

Art Teacher/PE/ Home Economics Club

 

Miss Wendy  is a warm hearted mom, grandma and volunteer at JCAA. She has a weekly art class as well as home economics such as sewing, cooking and candle making. Miss Wendy is known for her caring demeanor and creativity.  

 

 

 

Damaris Dupertuis

Music Teacher

Miss Damaris is a loving mother, musician and volunteer at JCAA. She has been part of the JCAA family for nearly a decade. She teaches music theory, choir and select instruments. These programs are used for our bi-monthly performances at local church congregations. 

 

 

 

Lidiane Santos-Almeida

Office Secretary

  Miss Lidiane is charismatic and capable wife and secretary at JCAA. She handles phone calls, tours, and other administration tasks during school hours. Her dedication and love for children can be heard in her kind voice and calm demeanor. You can often see her sharing the children's story at Baton Rouge SDA. 

 

 

Antonia Arriazola

Custodial

Miss Arriazola is a kind and diligent custodian as well as a faithful member of the Baton Rouge Spanish congregation. She has been part of the JCAA family for many years and is a valued part of our community. 

 

Regina Wilson

Substitute Teacher

Miss Regina is a retired school teacher, volunteer and wife to JCAA graduate. With a heart full of love and passion for education, she dedicates her time to Baton Rouge youth programs such as pathfinders, adventurers and fundraising for educational advancement at JCAA.
